Jobs Growth Slows In ºÚÁÏÐÂÎÅ In April

There was positive employment news in ºÚÁÏÐÂÎÅ in April -- but only just. Employers added a net 500 jobs in the month according to preliminary surveys. That’s down from 5,400 additions in March. The unemployment rate, which is calculated on a separate household survey, ticked downward from 8.3 percent to 8.1 percent. ºÚÁÏÐÂÎÅ remains above the national average unemployment rate of 6.1 percent.

Federal funding is gone.

Congress has eliminated all funding for public media.
