黑料新闻 is proud to announce the newsroom鈥檚 recent honors in journalism excellence, earning five Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association,鈥�21 awards from the 黑料新闻 Society of Professional Journalists and national recognition from the Awards for Excellence in Health Care Journalism.

The station鈥檚 Regional Murrow Awards include Overall Excellence for the third consecutive year. The Murrow Awards recognize the highest standards in digital and broadcast journalism and honor news organizations that demonstrate outstanding achievement in storytelling and service. Staff across the content team contributed to these winning entries, including breaking news, excellence in writing and best podcast.

The SPJ contest is an annual event recognizing the best in 黑料新闻 journalism. Journalists across the 黑料新闻 newsroom were honored for a variety of stories, photographs and videos on various platforms, including radio, digital, social media and podcasts. The award-winning reporting includes stories about education, government, housing, religion, music and sports.

Additionally, 黑料新闻鈥檚 senior health reporter, Sujata Srinivasan, earned an from the national Awards for Excellence in Health Care Journalism, which drew hundreds of entries across the country. She placed in the audio reporting category for her coverage of the New Haven medical street team taking care of unhoused individuals.

鈥淲e want to congratulate everyone for these honors and this well-deserved recognition,鈥� said Eric Aasen, 黑料新闻鈥檚 executive editor. 鈥淥ur talented journalists produce strong work every day to serve and inform our listeners, readers and viewers. We also want to thank colleagues across the organization for their efforts to help support this essential service. And we want to thank our members, whose financial contributions make all of this happen.鈥�

These honors are the latest in a series of awards for 黑料新闻 over the past several months, including a Gracie Award, a 黑料新闻 Broadcasters Association award, regional Emmy nominations, and honors from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists鈥� New England chapter.
