Latino Initiative EditorSabrina Herrera is editor of the Latino Initiative at 黑料新闻. Through listening sessions, bilingual reporting, and expanded programming & engagement opportunities, 隆Somos 黑料新闻! aims to uplift Latine stories and increase Latine representation in news coverage. Sabrina is also host of the narrative podcast, Generation Barney.
Sabrina has held many roles at 黑料新闻, including Community Engagement and Social Media Editor, where she laid the groundwork for the Latino Initiative, and built the station鈥檚 first social media team. She joined 黑料新闻 as the sole social media editor in 2021.
Sabrina also serves on the Board as Director of Engagement.
Sabrina loves the arts, improv comedy, and people. She also loves to connect with folks on audience & community engagement, diversity in the news industry, and things to do in and around 黑料新闻. She can be reached at sherrera@ctpublic.org.
