Latino Initiative EditorSabrina Herrera is editor of the Latino Initiative at ºÚÁÏÐÂÎÅ. Through listening sessions, bilingual reporting, and expanded programming & engagement opportunities, ¡Somos ºÚÁÏÐÂÎÅ! aims to uplift Latine stories and increase Latine representation in news coverage. Sabrina is also host of the narrative podcast, Generation Barney.
Sabrina has held many roles at ºÚÁÏÐÂÎÅ, including Community Engagement and Social Media Editor, where she laid the groundwork for the Latino Initiative, and built the station’s first social media team. She joined ºÚÁÏÐÂÎÅ as the sole social media editor in 2021.
Sabrina also serves on the Board as Director of Engagement.
Sabrina loves the arts, improv comedy, and people. She also loves to connect with folks on audience & community engagement, diversity in the news industry, and things to do in and around ºÚÁÏÐÂÎÅ. She can be reached at sherrera@ctpublic.org.
